International Foundation Year (IFY)
Your bridge from secondary school to international universityThe NCUK International Foundation Year prepares students for entry into undergraduate degree programmes abroad by developing subject knowledge, academic skills, and English proficiency.

Ideal for: Secondary school graduates
Outcome: Progression to Year One at partner universities (subject to meeting requirements)
International Year One (IY1)
Complete Year One locally. Progress globally. The International Year One allows students to complete the equivalent of the first year of a university degree in Uganda and progress directly to Year Two at partner universities.

Ideal for: Students seeking a cost-effective international pathway
Outcome: Progression to Year Two abroad

Progression Opportunities

Students can progress to NCUK partner universities in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and beyond, subject to meeting academic and English language requirements.
In Uganda, my Study Centre is probably one of the first of its kind to provide such a service, so I was really intrigued and compelled to follow up on their guarantee to facilitate my study abroad journey.
